Working Process Of A Translation Agency!

The translation industry is growing at a rapid pace. It also has a high CAGR (Compounded Annual Growth Rate), which indicates the industry's massive growth. The booming of the industry began with the concept of Globalization going viral across the globe.

The translation of old books to different languages has been around for a long time stretching back centuries. Every business needs to promote its product or service in various foreign languages to cater to the local audience.

This raises a great scope of opportunity for bilingual translators to mark an impact. This has given rise to the existence of the best translation agencies throughout the globe.

Working process of a translation agency

The working process for all the Translation agencies is more or less similar to each other. The various process is as follows:

  • A client approaches the agency to get a job done.
  • The Client manager, after a detailed analysis of the task in hand, decides upon various factors. These factors are the instructions to follow, estimated project cost, and deadlines.
  • The Project Manager then takes the project forward by assessing the task, organizing the process, and assigning the suppliers with the source materials.
  • The Manager and the text editors have a meeting. There they decide upon the glossary of standard terms, style guide along with instructions is prepared. The dates and names inside the project are finalized.
  • The translators in the team translate the source material to the desired language. After the translation is complete, they review the work and rectify all the errors.
  • The technical translators evaluate the work making sure that the terminology is on point. They also look after that the intention and meaning of the message are still intact.
  • A linguistic proof-reader goes through grammar, style, and language. He then decides whether changes are required or not.
  • After the mistakes and errors have been identified, the work is sent back to the translators for correction. The translators make the required correction as asked of them.
  • Then, another team makes sure that the presentation and style of the translated work is on similar lines as requested by the client.
  • The project manager minutely goes through the final report, and he double checks everything. He also assesses the work of the team and makes sure that the project is delivered on time.
  • The final step is the delivery of work to the client before the deadline.

Conclusion

Reports suggest that the translation agencies worldwide are set to have steady growth in the coming years. The emergence of a world-class Translation Agency in Delhi is also a testament to the fact that this industry is about to blow up in India.

The process explained above is not fixed for any of the translation agencies. They are free to operate in their ways. But, on average, these are the steps that are followed. The various rectification stages in the process ensure that there are fewer faults.
